Summary of Hosea 2:14-23

God will allure Gomer/Israel, lead her, and speak to her. She will return to God and she/Israel can repent and have peace with God. Hosea’s restoration of Gomer foreshadows God’s future for Israel. The Israelites will be God’s people once again.

Questions for Hosea 2:14-23

9) God says He will allure, her, lead her, and speak tenderly to her. Israel will once again turn to God and away from Baal. God will restore His covenant with Israel, and Israel will acknowledge Him as their Lord. God will show love, compassion, justice, and righteousness once again. The Israelites will be God’s people once again.

10) By blessing me at every turn. Allowing me to pursue my dreams. Having great, healthy children. By forgiving my sins when I fail. Picking me up when I fall. Allowing me to learn from my sins and draw closer to him.

11) No. When God makes a promise, He never breaks it. We can construe punishment as a breaking of God’s promises, but that is not true. He always does what He says He will do.

Conclusions to WordGo’s Study of Hosea 2:14-23

God promises restoration after the punishment. We will forever be God’s people. God refines us each and every day in order to do a deeper work within us. He redeems us to Him no matter what we do. So amazing!
