b) It increases my confidence in God’s power knowing God is in control of all, including Satan and all evil. I know that one day Satan and evil will be no more and that is encouraging in a world full of sin.

Great lesson about how God is in control of everything, even evil. We must remember that God does not allow us to be tempted more than we can handle, as we saw with Job. In God is all strength to resist evil and sin.
BSF Study Questions Revelation: The Hope Lesson 25, Day 2: Revelation 20:1-3
Why does God allow Satan and evil in this world? Because Satan serves God’s purposes.
Satan is the ultimate deceiver. Our best weapon against deceit and lies is God’s Word.
We know that Satan is not currently bound because there is evil and sin in the world. In addition, Peter said that Satan is free still (1 Peter 5:8).
The 1,000 years is a Millennium. During this time:
- Israel will be the leading nation (Isaiah 2:1-3, Ezekiel 17:22-24).
- Jesus will rule the earth (Isaiah 2:1-5).
- There will be no more war (Isaiah 2:1-5)
- Our relationship with animals will change Genesis 9:2-3 (Isaiah 11:6-9).
- David will reign again (Isaiah 55:3-5, Jeremiah 30:4-11, Ezekiel 34:23-31, Ezekiel 37:21-28, Hosea 3:5).
- God will rule (Zechariah 13:1-9).
- God will be preeminent (Zechariah 13:1-9).
- There will be a new temple (Ezekiel 40-48, Ezekiel 37:26-28, Amos 9:11, Ezekiel 20:39-44).
- Saints will be on earth (Luke 19:11-27, Revelation 20:4-6, Revelation 2:26-28; 3:12,22, 1 Corinthians 6:2-3).
So why 1,000 years?
The Millennium will give Jesus a chance to show his glory and show man’s true nature without Satan around. It will show the true power and preeminence of God.
